Shopping is one of the essential activities when you are on holiday and Goa gives plenty of opportunity to get your shopping hat on. There are few great Night Markets mostly located in North Goa like Arpora Night Market, Mackei’s Night Market, then there are few municipal / local markets like Mapusa Market, one local market in Panjim and in Margao, and also the famous Anjuna Flea Market (every Wednesday day time) where you will find hundreds of stores selling clothes, footwear, handmade products, imitation jewelry, crafts, hammocks, trinkets, wall decors and also local souvenirs. Each of the markets have their own charm and quality. You need to have ample time in hand to see and shop in these markets. Apart from these there are few more local shops or mini markets in almost every beach specially famous ones at Baga, Calangute, Ashwem etc.. mostly selling beach wears and souvenirs. But there are many big supermarkets like Newtons where you can buy groceries, essential items, alcohols, etc. In fact, if I say, you don’t need to bring anything here in Goa and just buy from local markets whenever and whatever you need, I really make sense.
