Goa has all types of vehicles available as one tourist can expect and one can easily avail a self driven car or two wheeler on daily rent. Now the question is, whether you rent a vehicle or hire a chauffeur driven car? By the way you can also get a two wheeler with a driver, provided you like to sit at the back. It’s always better to rent a two wheeler while you are in Goa as it’s easy to roam around through lanes and park but only if you know how to handle it proficiently. You should also always follow the traffic rules and take precautions like wearing a helmet if you are riding a two wheeler and a seat belt if you are driving a car. It’s for your own safety and also Goa police is strictly protecting these traffic rules. My preference would be a two wheeler if you are roaming around upto 3-4 kms from your stay and a car if it’s more kms; while I found local buses sometimes handy just to hop on / off from one point to another or specially going from one beach say Baga to the city, Panjim. Tourist buses for group package day tours are also good and economical as run by Goa Tourism and some private operators.
