Goa is famous for it’s cool beaches but there are 10+ rivers across this state. Old Goa at the bank of Mandovi River looks lovely and you will love to drive or walk around the same. I like it’s calmness along with beautiful natural setup. Once you are in Old Goa visiting famous old goa churches, make sure you take out some time to stroll around the river bank and enjoy it’s beauty and peaceful surroundings. You can also cross river banks via ferry ghats and enjoy the ferry ride. There are few night cruises also available along with famous Goan entertainment with dance and music. You can enjoy sunset on these cruise along with dinner. Few houses / airbnbs also available near the river bank in old goa and I would recommend you to stay there at least once during your holiday, probably for one night or so. Old goa is near Panjim but few stay options as available near Baga river (in North Goa) and Galgibag river (in South Goa) are equally nice. So why enjoy only Sea when you have calm and beautiful rivers too welcoming you.
